The Best x 2

Written by scuppernong at 00:32 25/4-2013

Rolf Enoch once again has the world at his feet and is now leading the World Tour standings. This is a first for a member of the scuppernong team.

After leading the OCM rankings for a period in season 22 and eventually finishing 2nd, Enoch has reached the number one spot in the WT tour after a 1st and 2nd this season. He has been chosen as captain of the climbing team and has certainly rewarded the national manager, Michael, with his decision.

Enoch commented "I am pleased to have reached this point in my career as it is something that many great riders have not achieved, especially being part of an all English team. Of course I have to thank Michael the English team manager for putting his faith in me, something which Joe continuously refuses to do. It is good to finally have a good team around me with team mates that put their body on the line for me. For this I want to thank all the other club managers for putting their faith in their young riders. I know I am the best rider in the world but my scuppernong team mates just want to make life difficult for me. I want to leave."

Scuppernong team manager commented "Of course I am pleased for Rolf but his comments will be dealt with internally."

Michael, the England manager, was unavailable for comment.

Enoch will next make an appearance for the national team tomorrow, where he will be defending his victory from last season in Rio de Janeiro, before taking part in the Vuelta de los Castillos, where he will hopefully add to his green jersey from three seasons ago.

*since going to press Enoch has slipped down to 2nd place.
